Carroll County Special Olympics
Welcome to the home of the Tigers!
Special Olympics Carroll County offers year-round sports training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities, at no cost. Athletes ages 8 and up train and compete with their teammates, and our Young Athletes program introduces children ages 2 to 7, with and without intellectual disabilities, to sports and play. Our athletes build fitness, learn new skills, and make friends with teammates, coaches, families, and the wider community.
In Carroll County, we offer 14 sports, from aquatics and basketball to kayaking, powerlifting, and track and field. Our athletes put in the work at practice, show up for each other, and compete hard. Whether someone is new to a sport or has played for years, there’s a place for them on our team.
Our programs run on the time and support of our community. Volunteers coach, help at practices and events, and cheer from the sidelines. We’re always looking for volunteers to support our program. Donations help keep our programs free for athletes. Whether you’d like to volunteer, donate, or learn more, we’d love to hear from you.
